What is meant by full-spectrum CBD?
Full-spectrum CBD products take everything from the hemp plant. This includes cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and fatty acids such as omega-3. This also means the CBD will include levels of THC. However, industrial hemp plants contain only small amounts of THC, so over-the-counter full-spectrum CBD will not lead to intoxication.
What is 0% THC CBD oil?
CBD products that contain no THC is known more commonly as broad-spectrum CBD or CBD isolate. It is a purified form of industrial hemp oil. Materials are removed from the plant, such as waxes, and then the cannabinoids are removed. All that is left is a crystalline powder and is 99% pure cannabidiol. It is CBD isolate that is used to make several THC products, including vapes, gummies and sprays.
Why choose 0% THC products?
There a several reasons to choose 0% THC products. The majority of cannabinoids are a controlled substance, but CBD isn’t. Products containing CBD can legally contain up to 2% of THC, but most people will prefer to avoid and amount of THC, especially those who are likely to require drug tests within the workplace. By choosing to purchase 0% THC products, you will stop any doubts.
High levels of THC will cause intoxication. Although CBD doesn’t contain enough THC to have an adverse reaction, some people may still be concerned. By choosing 0% THC, you will be eliminating any doubt you may have.
Is a full-spectrum CBD 0% THC?
This is not the case! Full-spectrum CBD does contain small amounts of THC. As previously mentioned, it isn’t enough to cause intoxication, but this is likely to be a concern for some. Full-spectrum products must contain no more than 0.2% THC to be able to legally sell in the UK.
